Winemaker Notes:
The World renowned Wine of Southern Italy
From the active slopes of Mt. Etna volcano on the island of Sicily comes this amazing southern classic. The Main grape of this wine; Don Rosso Nero d´Avola, is indigenous to Sicily, and is one of the most renowned grapes in all of Italy today.
The vineyard and vines that produce this wonderful wine are situated on the slopes, and are within the active zone of Mt. Etna volcano.
Because of the geographic complexity of growth, the earth is warmer and produces grapes, which in turn create a wine with special characteristics. The color of the wine is an intense ruby red with defined hints of garnet. The nose is floral and explodes with traces of the French Allier Barriques, vanilla, black cherries, and a hint of licorice; presenting an elegant, bold wine.

The taste is well balanced and robust with great structure. Flavors of black cherry, ripe fruits of the forest and spice, provide a wonderful backdrop for a long, pleasant and fulfilling finish. This wine is an excellent example of the renowned southern Italian classic.

Great for sipping with cheese or vegetable appetizers, savory pasta dishes, roasted or grilled meats, great with barbeque, and robust fish cuisine. Excellent with spicy foods too!
