Winemaker Notes:
Absolutely Delicious Celebration Wine
A Classic and Festive Spumante
The winery named Abbazia, which means "Abbey", was selected because of its proximity to the historical Benedictine monastery dating back to the 12th Century. The monastery was originally a Roman Temple dedicated to the God; Jupiter, and the original winery was built adjacent to the Benedictine Abbey monastery in 1848. This wine is made 100% Malvasia Bianca and is Aged for a minimum 1 year using traditional spumante fermentation processes and is suggested to be consumed within the year after release.
At sight the color is a rich, brilliant rose. The nose has a delicate feel of roses and ripe fruit, consistent with Malvasia. On the palate the taste is sweet, aromatic, and supple with a delicious and wonderful finish.
An excellent celebration wine, this wine also pairs well and to be enjoyed with pastries, desserts, cake, and fruit.
