From the renowned wine region of Salento on the peninsula of Puglia, along the Bay of Taranto, this wine hails from the regions center of attention and this renowned wine producing region; and is known specifically as "the" white wine for cuisine of the sea.
Relatively unknown for generations, this amazing wine is an example of the high quality standards and wine producing capabilities from the vintners in the south and is influenced by the wonderful Mediterranean cuisine that famous for delicious seafood.
Made of 100% Malvasia Bianca di Salento, this wine is aged for 12 months starting with 15 days maceration; 9 months in Stainless Steel and 3 months in Bottle. At sight this wine is a concentrated golden straw yellow color with hints of green. The bouquet is nice, crisp and persistent with citrus and white melon and slight influences of the sea. On the nose is a subtle blend of floral and fruity accents which are austere and sweet. The taste is crisp, fresh, long and persistent on the palate and always pleasant and delicious. A wine that reaches its best when served with fresh fish, shellfish, risotto, and always enhances the flavors of cuisine of the sea.
This wine pairs perfectly with any fresh fish, seafood pasta, roasted or braised white meats, risotto, and assorted cheeses and fruit appetizers.
