Wine Notes:
A beautifully rich, luscious and "Rocking Delicious" southern Italian rose... that looks like, tastes like, and pours like a chilled red wine.
Don't let the color fool you, this is an incredible rose with exceptional body and flavor that comes from the renowned wine region of Salento.
On the peninsula of Puglia or the "heel" of the Italian "boot", this wine hails from the regions center of attention and well known wine producing district, and the blend is dominated by the regions jewel of jewels, Negroamaro di Salento, which gives this wine its intense, beautiful color. Relatively unknown for generations, this amazing rose is an example of the high quality wines produced in Puglia.
Winemaker Notes:
At sight this wine is an intense, dark coral pink color and sometimes is mistaken for a medium bodied red wine. The nose is wonderfully fresh with a young and ripe fruit bouquet that is wide and persistent. On the palate this wine blossoms with bright fruit flavor that is smooth and persistent, with crisp and sharp fruit acidity balanced with clean minerality throughout. All followed by a long and refreshing finish.
This wine may be enjoyed for 2 to 3 years from release during which time it will retain all its fruit characteristics.
Pairing:
Pairs well with just about anything, great with barbeque and pasta, and simply enjoyed by the glass.
