Winemaker Notes:
The little brother of Brunello di Montalcino...and just as Good
"Old World" style favorite of Tuscany aged slightly less than its elder counterpart; Brunello di Montalcino
From the heart of the famous wine region of Chianti and Montalcino, in Tuscany, comes this exquisite red wine, aged slightly less than its elder brother; Brunello di Montalcino, but known to have the same wonderful characteristics and tremendous flavor.
From estate vineyards this wine is made of 100% Sangiovese Grosso, using the grapes that remain from the selection process for Brunello. The wine is aged for 3 years minimum; 2 years in French Oak Barrels.
At sight this wine is a deep ruby red color with a wide, floral and persistent bouquet.
The nose is full with aromas of violets, vanilla, and dried fruits.
On the palate the wine is slightly dry, yet full and round with a velvety taste, generous body, and characteristics similar to those desired in a great Brunello.
Excellent to enjoy with meat dishes, roasted meats, or a hearty plate of pasta.
A wonderful wine that will enhance your pleasures each and every time it’s poured.
