The 2nd most popular white wine of Sicily
The Grillo grape, which grows mainly in the western region of Sicily, and is also known as "Riddu", by the vintners and farmers whom cultivate the rich soil of the island the "soccer ball" on the "toe" of the Italian boot.
A prestigious and classic "old world" style white, this wine is made of 100% Grillo and is Aged for 6 months in French Oak Barrels and 3 months in bottle. At sight this wine is a pale yellow color with brilliant golden reflections.
The nose is intense with influences of floral and fruits intertwined. The taste bursts with aromas and flavors and is dry and harmonious, as it has an excellent persistence and offers a great span of flavors. This wine is produced with minimal intervention and is a great example of a Sicilian white wine.
This wine is excellent as a solo sipper, and pairs well with any fish dish, cheese and fruit appetizers, shell-fish, and white roasted meats.
