Wine Notes:
A traditional style Tuscan gem from the heart of the Chianti region, this wine is true to the grape good and shares many of the same characteristics found in a fine Tuscan Chianti wine.
This traditional style Sangiovese wine is true to the grape good and possibly one of the best foods wines ever created. A true gem that is fresh, fruit forward, and flavorful.
In the recent past varieties were often blended, but today the emphasis is strongly on traditional style Sangiovese, which deserves to be ranked with Italy's, and the world's noblest wines. From good vintages, pure Sangiovese wines (as is the Lasorda Sangiovese di Toscana) are rich in body and intricate in flavor.
Much of Tuscany, where the famed Sangiovese grape found its roots in Chianti; many estates emphasize the name of a special vineyard or wine varietal as a mark of distinction. What Tuscany, Chianti, and its winemakers, as well as those throughout Italy have in common with all of the traditional red wines of Tuscany is its major grape variety; Sangiovese.
Winemaker Notes:
Made of select 100% pure Sangiovese di Toscana, at sight this wine is a deep ruby red color. The nose is wide and persistent with wonderful fruity notes. On the palate it is fruit forward and soft, with hints of fertile Tuscan earth and lush forest, and gentle tannins that are in perfect balance with the acidity of the wine. The finish is long, pleasant, and deliciously fulfilling.
A pure varietal as this are usually suited to moderate aging and are at their best when drunk young.
Pairing:
Pairs well with grilled red meats, pizza, and pasta.
