Lasorda - Trebbiano D'Abruzzo DOC 2006
Winemaker Notes:
An Old World style white wine that is a traditional for Cuisine of the Sea in Abruzzo
This wine is an 18th Century Easy Drinking Favorite
This traditional white wine hails from the region in Italy that is home to the Lasorda family heritage; Abruzzo. It is an excellent example of the quality from Abruzzo and Italy, and known for its robust and consistent quality throughout Europe.
Made of 85% Trebbiano d´ Abruzzo and 15% Malvasia del Chianti, this wine is aged for 9 months, and is made in the old world style and traditions. At sight this Trebbiano d´ Abruzzo is a subtle straw yellow color, transparent, and vivacious. On the nose a delicate aroma persists, smooth, fresh, and fruity, with floral notes. On the palate the flavor is consistent with the bouquet, with sharp tangy notes, slight mineral tones, and a smooth, clean, and pleasant finish.
This wine pairs very well with all fish, shell fish, or roasted white meats, and is also great by the glass as a solo sipper.
