A Traditional Northern Italian Classic Veneto: the birthplace of Pinot Grigio This wine is a true Classic from one of the foremost wine producing regions for quality, and the production of Pinot Grigio, in northern Italy.
The vineyard for our Lasorda Pinot Grigio is located in the municipalities of Soave and Monteforte d'Alpone, where exist the original and ancient areas of production of Soave and Pinot Grigio, known in Italy as the Historic Area; the winery is located in the heart of this region.
Made of 100% Pinot Grigio and aged for 12 months, at sight this wine is a brilliant, pure straw color with golden reflections.
The nose explodes with a pleasant bouquet of citrus fruit; crisp, wide, full, and persistent. The delicious citrus flavors merge with accents of minerals and florals to produce a bolder, richer version of this classic wine.
The bright, crisp, full flavors are achieved by having longer contact with the skins during fermentation. This wine is excellent as a solo sipper or paired with light pasta dishes, roasted or grilled white meats, fish and shellfish, and light or seasoned cheese appetizers.
