Wine Notes:
A southern Italian classic white wine of the sea known for its traditional style characteristics.
From the wine region of Salento on the peninsula of Puglia, this wine hails from the regions center of attention and renowned wine producing district, and is known specifically as the white wine for cuisine of the sea.
Relatively unknown for generations, this amazing wine is an example of the high quality white wines produced in the south which were originally influenced by the wonderful Mediterranean cuisines, and most notably, the delicious seafood that is most prominent in the region.
Winemaker Notes:
At sight this wine is a golden straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The bouquet is fresh, crisp, and persistent, with citrus notes and white melon, and influences and minerality of the sea on the nose, and a subtle blend of floral and fruity accents which are nicely sweet. The taste is fresh, with smooth viscosity, long and refreshing on the palate, always pleasant and delicious.
This wine may be enjoyed for 2 to 3 years from release during which time it will retain all its fruit characteristics.
Pairing:
A wine that reaches its best when served with fresh fish, shellfish, fried fish, seafood or mushroom risotto, and will always enhance the flavors of any cuisine of the sea.
