Winemaker Notes:
An "Old World" Classic Italian White Wine of Kings
This wine is exclusive to the renowned growing and producing region of San Gimignano in Tuscany. San Gimignano is known as the City of Towers.
A classic from Tuscany, Vernaccia di San Gimignano was the first white wine given DOCG status in Italy and is known as the "Wine of Kings". The ruling kings of different regions centuries ago used this exceptional wine as monetary value, and used to fight for the rights to take control of production from different vintners, centuries ago.
This wine is 100% Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Aged for 12 months;
6 months in French Oak Barrels.
Having wonderful character and structure, this wine displays a subtle, pure straw color with golden reflections and a delicious bouquet. The nose is a delicate and pleasant bouquet of fruit that is wide and full.
On the palate the delicious flavors merge with accents of minerals and florals to produce a rich taste, with a slight bitterish aftertaste on this classic wine. Perfect as a solo sipper, with broiled shell fish, roasted white meats, and soft cheeses.
An Excellent Wine for All Occasions!
