Wine Notes:
A wine of Italian Royalty from the Historic Medici Family wine archives.
This wine is the result of expert selection of the highest quality, hand selected grapes, and represents the very best of Chianti.
The word "Gentilesco" is a centuries old term that comes from the Medici Family vocabulary to describe an especially high-quality wine from carefully hand selected and sorted grapes, and is produced using the original production text and notes of the Medici Family vintners.
From the hills of Florence and Siena comes this wonderful, young and fresh, feminine style Chianti that is sure to please.
Winemaker Notes:
This wine is made of a traditional Medici Chianti blend and at sight is a deep, rich ruby red color. On the nose it is fruity, wide and persistent. On the palate the wine is tangy, fresh and smooth, with explosive fruit and a wonderfully long and persistent finish. An old world style classic originally created by the Royal Medici Family of Tuscany, and now proudly produced by Cantine Bonacchi under exclusive permission of the Medici Estate in Tuscany.
This wine is best enjoyed young and becomes slightly more refined for 1 to 2 years.
At its best when opened at least 45 minutes or longer prior to serving.
Pairing:
An excellent wine to enjoy with a variety of foods, especially first courses, roasted and grilled meats, pizza and pasta.
